Air to air photography

Some of my favouriteair to air photography - I don't get to do too much of this type of photography lately but it is fun - and sometimes very difficult. You are constantly being bumped around and to get nice clear shots is not easy. Sometimes you get to take the hair raising photos like when Steve Heugh flew upside down above us - yicks! My favourite is doing air to air with Stu Davidson and the boys - they enjoy what they do and so do I. The Eastern Cape coast is perfect for air to air as is the Western Cape coast! Most of these pics were taken with my older cameras - Canon 10D/20D. Would be great to wind the speed up for clear, sharp shots but then the prop would be too still as if the aircraft is falling out of the sky. What you want is sharp shots with prop blur - a delicate balancing act! I wasn't very good at it back then....
